TREE WORKERS RECEIVE ISA HONORS
GLENVIEW, IL — Autumn Tree Care Experts is proud to announce that four of the top climbers on its staff — Andrew Burke, Ricardo Martinez, Froilan Rodriguez, and Eduardo Villagomez — recently earned the designation "ISA Certified Tree Worker/Climber Specialist" from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).
To be eligible for this designation, one is required to have a minimum of 18 months' experience as a tree climber and provide proof of training in aerial rescue, CPR, and first aid. Once eligibility is established, one's arboricultural aptitude is tested through knowledge and skill assessments.
The written examination evaluates one's understanding of climbing safety, tree removal, rigging, pruning, cabling, climbing/knots, tree sciences, and tree identification. That knowledge is further tested during the skill assessment, where candidates demonstrate their abilities in climb preparation, knot tying, climbing, rope throwing, secured entry, rope advancing, tie-in, work climb, and descent.
Certification is valid for a three-year period. One's status is maintained by accumulating 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) during the course of the certification period.
To date, Autumn Tree Care Experts employs eight ISA Certified Tree Workers/Climber Specialists (Andrew Burke, Jose Lopez, Pedro Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Tony Perez, Jose Ramirez, Froilan Rodriguez, and Eduardo Villagomez) along with nine ISA Certified Arborists and four Board-Certified Master Arborists.

About ISA Certification
The ISA offers the only internationally-recognized certification program in the tree care industry. Certification is a voluntary program that provides recognition of an arborist's professional knowledge by his or her peers. For over a decade, the ISA has certified arborists in order to encourage continuing education, to develop and implement standardized tree care practices, and to uphold an arboricultural code of ethics.
There are five types of ISA certification: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Arborist/Utility Specialist, ISA Certified Arborist/Municipal Specialist, ISA Certified Tree Worker/Climber Specialist, and ISA Board-Certified Master Arborist.
